Losing weight fast should not be your sole aim!
If you can find a diet that helps you to lose weight now, at the same time helps you to keep it off in the
future by changing your lifestyle and foods you eat, then you have found a winner.
Some weight loss companies do target people who want to fast weight loss, but good diets don't only do
fast.
So, instead of focusing on losing weight fast, it's wiser for you to look for a diet
that you can actually see yourself eating for a long time, and uses foods you like.
Losing Weight Fast - Tips:
1.- Increasing Your Metabolism
Eat 5 - 6 smaller meals each day... It has been scientifically proven that by reducing your meals to smaller
portions, and then increasing the number of times you actually eat each day to a more frequent basis, you can
actually raise your body’s natural metabolism, this is the speed at which your body will burn the food that you are
consuming. This means that your body will burn more of the fats it receives from the foods you eat, all using it's
natural processes, and your body will do this automatically, all day, every day, without any interaction
required.
2. - Eat Fewer Calories
While you are increasing the number of meals you eat to lose weight naturally, you must also make your meals
using smaller portions, as you are not looking to increase the amount of food you are actually eating each day.
The equation is a very simple one, the calories you eat in one day, must not exceed the calories your body uses
in a day. To put it another way, your body needs to use some of the calories that it has stored up from the times
when you were over eating, this is done by you eating less calories that your body is using, this must be done
carefully, and on a gradual basis. So, keep your meals small, eat often, and cut down on foods that contain the bad
fats, because each gram of bad fat is not only bad for you, it also contains 9 calories, in comparison, each gram
of carbohydrate or protein only contains 4 calories.
3. - Avoid Starchy and Processed Flour-Based Foods
Starchy and processed flour based foods are easy for your body to digest, but they quickly turn into sugar, and
then turn into body fat if your body does not use up the same, if not more of the calories contained in these types
of foods you have just consumed. So, forget the cakes, the cookies, the pizzas, the pastas, the white rice, white
bread, etc... and replace them with high-fiber breads, legumes, brown rice, wholemeal pastas, grains, nuts, etc.
instead. Staying away from these types of foods also includes your typical fast-food outlets, as most of these
fast-food restaurants predominantly offer, in the main, these types of foods. If your family or friends want to go
and eat out at these types of places, if it's not on the menu, ask if you can place a special order for a
salad.
4. - Avoiding Sugary, Soft, Soda Drinks
For reasons that are obvious, most if not all of these types of drinks are heavily laced with sugar, and as
previously mentioned, this sugar gets converted to body fat very quickly. As an example, the amount of exercise you
would need to do to counteract just 1 can (330ml) of a sugary drink, you'd need to jog for around 30 minutes to
burn the can's calorie count. Now, imagine how much body fat you will gain if you drink just 3 cans of a soft drink
each day, or, to put it another way, how would you fancy having to jog for 90 minutes each day, just to lose the
calories you gained from the soft drinks?
5. - Avoiding Alcohol
With each gram of alcohol containing around 7 calories, and the calories in the alcohol having no nutritional
value at all for you, as they are just "empty calories", drinking alcohol on a regular basis, not only wrecks your
health, it will also set you back in your want to lose weight as well". If you must drink, or you socialize and
feel out of place without a drink, do so very moderately, hold your glass without drinking it, gulping it down, and
make it last. Each alcoholic drink is just further calories that you will need to cut back on elsewhere, or
exercise to lose, and cutting back on a healthy diet to drink alcohol is not your best road to go down.
6. - Coping With The Drastic Change To Your Eating Habits
Drastically changing your diet, changing your lifetime of eating habits is not easy, and some do find it so very
difficult to adapt. The reason for these difficulties is quite simple really, you are not only battling against the
changes caused by the change of foods to your body, you are also battling against your lifestyle and eating habits,
habits that have been built up from birth, through many years, as well as your addiction to some of the bad foods,
like sugary food, processed food, etc. But, having said all that, you should not unduly worry about this, which I
guess is easier said than done, but you will experience some withdrawal symptoms at the very beginning, but after a
week or so, you should be 99%clear from your sugar and carbohydrate cravings. Now the good news, once your
addiction to these types of foods and drinks are controlled, you will, in the main, lose your sweet tooth, you will
also know and start to feel the health benefits from the second week on or around that point, and you will find
yourself starting to avoid these types of foods and drinks as a natural instinct.
7. - Follow a Good Quality and Healthy Lifestyle.
You need to just follow a good quality healthy eating program, one that suits your lifestyle, and you will start
to lose your excess weight naturally, quickly, and more easier than you thought if you get past the first
hurdles.
If you start to include some regular exercising as well into your weight loss plan, your weight loss will not
only become faster, it is more likely to become a more long term prospect.
